The Extraordinarily Powerful Influence of our inner Thoughts.
Science has recently established that tangible effects are produced as a direct consequence of our human thought alone. This groundbreaking knowledge presents both challenges and opportunities.
What are the cumulative consequences of all those negative belief systems and thought patterns that are continually fostered in our popular media...that breed self-doubt, insecurity and fear of difference? That destabilise individuals and whole communities?
'Abdu'l-Baha states that the effects and consequences of thought are dependant on certain factors. He conditions the influence of thought upon its purity and intensity, maintaining that the more spiritual and positive the thought, the more powerful its effects upon others:

Abdu'l-Baha describes how human hearts can become attuned and linked to one another:

The Influence of Thought is dependent upon its Purity and Intensity
However, He makes a clear distinction between thoughts and emotions, saying;
"The natural emotions are blameworthy and are like rust which deprives the heart of the bounties of God. But sincerity, justice, humility, severance, and love for the believers of God will purify the mirror and make it radiant." ---Abdu'l-Baha , Promulgation of Universal Peace 86
For the purpose of this article, thoughts, emotions, sensations and influence will be examined as one collective factor.
It examines the results of an experiment in which different groups of scientists extracted white blood cells from donors and isolated them in a sealed container that measures electrical changes.
A DNA donor was placed in one room and subjected to “emotional stimulation” consisting of video clips which generated different emotions in the donor.
The DNA was placed in a different room in the same building. Both the donor and his DNA were monitored. As the donor exhibited emotional peaks or valleys (measured by electrical responses), the DNA exhibited the identical responses at the exact same time.
Human Thought Has an Instantaneous Effect.
To investigate the effects of distance, the scientists explored how far apart they could separate a donor from his DNA and still get this effect. They stopped testing after separating the DNA and the donor by 50 miles and receiving exactly the same result. There was no lag time; no transmission time!
Science has now demonstrated that our thoughts have an instantaneous effect. The DNA and the donor had identical responses in time, establishing that the donor and the DNA were communicating beyond space and time.
Scientists further examined the effect of DNA on our physical world. Light photons, which make up the entire world around us, were observed inside a vacuum. Their natural locations were completely random. Human DNA was then inserted into the vacuum. They were stunned to find that the photons were no longer acting randomly but unified to precisely mirror the geometry of the DNA.
Human Influence creates Unity in the Physical World
They described the photons as behaving “surprisingly and counter-intuitively”. New research, connecting all 3 of the previously quoted scientific claims, forced them to accept the possibility of some new field of energy, thus concluding that human DNA literally shapes the behavior of light photons that make up all the world around us!
In concluding this set of experiments, the scientists came to a stunning realization: if our emotions (influence) affect our DNA and our DNA shapes the world around us, then our emotions physically change the world around us. Even more than that, we are connected to our DNA beyond space and time.
